The S Family

This great family came to visit central Illinois to enjoy the fall colors for a mini-vacation.  Unfortunately, the fall colors weren’t ready to make a glorious appearance yet, but we still had a great time!  They stayed in the neatest Bed and Breakfast - The Barn in Dahinda, Illinois.  It’s filled with wonderful antiques, and makes the perfect spot to spend a weekend…be sure to check it out!   It’s wonderful!

So here are a few of the S family…enjoy!

Funky Miss B - Senior ‘08

This fun group travelled from the wilds of central Illinois, and I had soooo much fun photographing this ‘08 senior!  I know they are watching for these, and I am feeling a little mean not getting them posted.  Trouble is, it’s just so hard to *choose*….I just keep finding another one I like, and another.  But I am going to post a few, chosen at random because the guilt is getting to me :>).

The best part is that as photogenic as Miss B is, she’s every bit as sweet and fun to be around.   Thanks you so much for a great afternoon…we never did get an ounce of that rain that they were threatening!

This was before we unearthed a huge nest of red ants…those biting little suckers were none too happy to have their home destroyed in the name of good photographs.

A Wonderful Celebrating Adoption Family

I had the pleasure of photographing this wonderful family this weekend. They found me through a wonderful organization called Celebrating Adoption, an organization of photographers dedicated to promoting and celebrating adoption. These two happy kids were a joy to photograph, even though it was a HOT day in October…in the 90’s!

Isn’t she beautiful?

And is my new friend, who likes goldfish crackers, tee-ball and cheese pizza from Chuck E. Cheese.

If you have adopted a child domestically or internationally within the past year, be sure to visit the Celebrating Adoption website. It’s a wonderful organization, and I am pleased to be a part of this wonderful service!

Thanks to the M family! Your gallery is coming very soon!

I love photographing these boys!

This pair is soooo much fun! We did part of the session at Oak Run’s Windemere Park on the beach. But most of my favorites were taken “down on the farm”.

Here’s Mr. H (and TJ the steer)

Amy and Brian’s Engagement Session

Congratulations to Amy and Brian on their engagement! We had a gorgeous day for portraits, and spent some time at St. Mary’s Chapel in Knoxville before heading out to the barns for some more casual shots. They were good sports for the farm images, where the bugs were really starting to get annoying.

Our corn is pretty ugly for photographs…, but the soybeans were still nice and green.

Courtney and Ian - August 12, 2007

I get the BEST brides, I tell ya! I am sooooo spoiled!

Courtney and Ian’s wedding on August 12, 2007 was hot…and I mean 100 degrees hot. But the heat wasn’t about to spoil the fun for this group, and the day was so much fun that we didn’t even mind sweating a bit. (OK, maybe we were sweating more than a little!).

The wedding was held is Springfield, Illinois at Washington Park.  The botanical garden where the ceremony was held was a perfect spot…peaceful and beautiful.

The reception was held at the Route 66 Hotel, which has lots of fun Route 66 memorabilia.  But first they had to get to the reception…so what’s better than a shiny new, red convertible!

Mallorie and Jordan are Married!

Mallorie and Jordan were married on July 14, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Peoria. It was simply beautiful. Mallorie’s dress was gorgeous, and she and all the girls looked beautiful…

Rob and Angie’s Wedding

Ron and Angie’s wedding on June 2, 2007 took place at Tanglewood Hills in Bettendorf, Iowa. It’s so pretty there, and the chapel is perfect for an evening wedding. We had a gorgeous, sunny afternoon to take photos of Rob and Angie.

My favorites are always the details and getting ready shots. The rings and flowers…
