Summer Reading - Check this out….

My kids have had so much fun with this…and me too! Do you have books laying around that you’ve read that you’d be willing to trade with someone else? This is the perfect place to swap them for just the price of postage! You post the books that you are willing to trade, and when another member requests that book, you mail it to them via media mail at your expense (usually $2 - $3, depending on the weight). For every book that you send, you get to request one from another member…who mails the book to you at their expense. It’s awesome, and my kids have loved watching the mailbox for their new book.

Oh, and you can even print the “wrapper” and postage for the book right on your computer if you’d like, and then simply place it in your mailbox…

Best of all, it’s free to join. So check it out!

Find me on Facebook

I have been on Facebook for a while, but have never really gotten the hang of it.   I am trying my best, though, to be COOL  :).  I am trying to keep up with all the drinks passed my way, all the poking and prodding.  It’s so much fun to keep in touch with people!

So look me up on Facebook at:

or my personal page HERE.

And of course, if there is something awesome that I am missing, let me know!

I will be searching for some ‘09 senior reps very soon, and will post details there, so check back for more!  If you know a fun, funky high school junior in the central illinois area, have them contact me for more information and details.

And since I can’t post without a photo, here’s an oldie but goodie I dug up.  She was about 2, and sitting on grandpa’s tractor.

We have moved!!

Please update your bookmarks to our NEW website and blog pages! It’s been a crazy season…we moved to a new home in December. Note to self: Never move the week before Christmas! It’s been a crazy few months getting settled in, but spring is right around the corner, I hope! We’ve got lots of work to do on it, but I am excited about the possibilities.

We’re kicking off the new season with a move to a new site (and hopefully a NEW site soon) and a new blog that I hope will be updated much more frequently!

Momma

Having fun with the BIG windows in our new house and the soft, natural light I get in the afternoon. She’s big into baby dolls right now, and spends many hours feeding and rocking them. This one, she tells me, wets her diaper allllll the time.

And yep, the tag is still on.  She thought it was a crucial part to the outfit, and refused to allow it to be cut off.  :)

Just a window

One of my favorite things….the light from a simple, ordinary window. North, south, east or west, doesnt’ really matter to me. It’s a great formula: Simple composition and beautiful, soft light. Doesn’t get much better than that!

And my favorites from the 5 minutes each that they allowed me…

Trash the Dress…. Toddler Style

Trash the Dress, Toddler Style

It’s all the rage these days….put on a pretty (usually wedding or prom) dress and get out and sling some mud, water or dirt. Jadyn chose all three. This is her famous “mud soap” bath. She thought this was a fabulous way to spend an afternoon!

My Lil Tree Climber

She’s been searching for weeks for a tree that she could climb. Seemed like they were always to tall, or too fat, or just didn’t have limbs low enough for her to reach. Today she found it, and she did it. And it was one of the few times when she actually invited me to take her picture. Why, sure! So here she is, my little monkey!
